AAre you okay, man? You don’t look very well.
BUgh, I feel terrible. I went out last night with Trevor, and things got a little out of hand.
ANice! So, where did you guys go?
BWe hit a couple of local bars, and met up with some friends. Everything was cool until Mike came along, and it turned out that it was his birthday yesterday!
AOh no! Mike’s birthday is a drinkfest for sure!
BTell me about it! We drank everything in the bar!
AIs that why you missed work today?
BYeah. I woke up this morning feeling really nauseous. I threw up like five times.
BI was so dehydrated that I drank like a gallon of water, and my head has been pounding all day. I swear, I’m never gonna drink again!
AToo bad man, tonight is Tracy’s going away party and she asked if you were gonna go.
BOh, yeah. I’m there!
AWhat seems to be the problem?
BI have a really bad toothache! My cheek is swollen and I can’t eat anything.
ALet’s have a look. Hmmm. This doesn’t look too good. I think we may have to pull out your wisdom tooth. It’s pressing against your molars and that’s one of the reasons you are experiencing so much pain.
BWhen you pull my tooth will you also have to extract the nerve and the root?
AFirst we will take some x-rays and see what we’re dealing with. I also noticed a small cavity up front here, so you are going to need a filling.
BI guess that’s what I get for not flossing or brushing my teeth three times a day.
AIt could be that, or maybe you are eating too many sweets. In any case, I’ll administer an anesthetic and you won’t feel a thing!
